Ljubljana in a weekend: a complete itinerary
Ljubljana is a capital on a human scale: a pedestrian old town, greenery everywhere, a river running through it and a relaxed atmosphere. Here's our three-day itinerary.

Prešeren Square, the Triple Bridge and a stroll along the Ljubljanica river. Climb up to Ljubljana Castle for a panoramic view of the city.
Day 2 — Market and neighbourhoods
Morning at the central market designed by Jože Plečnik, with stalls of local produce. In the afternoon, visit the Metelkova district, the city's alternative heart.
Day 3 — Tivoli Park and surroundings
A walk in the large Tivoli Park and, weather permitting, an excursion to Lake Bled or the Postojna Caves.
